KIMBERLEY M. SPURLOCK
Kimberley M. Spurlock was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Humble, Texas. She attended Humble High School and played on the varsity women’s golf team. Kim graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997 with a degree in Sociology. She then attended South Texas College of Law, graduating Cum Laude in 2001. Kim earned her Board Certification in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2009. Kim began her legal career working for a downtown law firm handling insurance defense and coverage issues. She later handled mass tort litigation, including asbestos litigation.
Kim opened Spurlock & Associates, P.C. in September of 2003. Since that time, she has handled a variety of legal matters for individuals and small businesses. Kim lives in Atascocita, Texas with her husband, Jimmy Spurlock. She enjoys playing golf and traveling.
Partner/Litigation and Appeals
Misty Hataway-Coné has years of experience in the areas of appellate practice, business and commercial litigation and insurance coverage and defense. This experience includes first-party and third-party insurance litigation; multi-million dollar commercial litigation disputes; personal injury suits; public law matters; attending to loan closings, foreclosure and related collection needs on behalf of mid-size financial institutions; representing plaintiffs and defendants in breach of contract actions related to indemnification agreements; and assorted appellate proceedings, including bankruptcy appeals. From 2011-2016, Misty served as an integral member of the team of lawyers representing Halliburton, working in connection with all civil litigation and investigations arising from the April 2010 Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill. Misty’s appellate practice includes representing clients throughout the Texas intermediate courts of appeals, the Texas Supreme Court, the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and before the United States Supreme Court.
VICTORIA M. VENZA
Managing Attorney/Partner of Family Law Division
Victoria M. Venza is the managing attorney and partner of the family law division at Spurlock & Associates, P.C. She graduated from South Texas College of Law in 2001 and has been with the firm since 2005. With a thorough understanding of family law, compassion, and dedication to detail, she helps each client reach the best outcome for his or her unique situation as efficiently as possible. Victoria understands family law matters are almost always stressful, trying situations that clients want to resolve as expeditiously, fairly and cost-effectively as possible. Therefore, at the outset of each family law case, Victoria listens attentively to each client’s objectives, provides solutions to the problem, and works closely with each client throughout the case to achieve the best possible outcome. Although many family law cases can be resolved through mediation, some cases require a judge or jury to determine the outcome. Victoria is a passionate, fierce advocate for her clients and will strongly argue with conviction and dogged determination the merits of each client’s case inside the courtroom or at mediation.

Victoria lives in Sugar Land, Texas with her husband, Johnny Venza, who is a criminal defense attorney, and her son Jackson. She enjoys traveling, sports, reading and spending time with family and friends.
SUZANNE D. PERRY
Suzanne D. Perry is a native Houstonian. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Arts in political science in May 2007. She then attended University of Houston Law Center, graduating with her law degree in May 2012. While in law school, Suzanne served as Publications Editor of the Houston Journal of Health Law and Policy and interned in Harris County Probate Court No. 3 and the 312th Family Court. She also gained experience clerking at a probate and estate planning firm in Houston. Following graduation from law school, Suzanne joined Spurlock & Associates, P.C. as an associate attorney handling a variety of civil litigation, probate, and family law matters. In her free time, Suzanne enjoys being active in her church, baking, and snow skiing.
